SAMUEL BELT, 2020-2021 IJBBA Director

Biography

Samuel is a fourth generation livestock producer from Gatesville, Texas.  As the oldest son of Brandon and Kari Belt, and the grandson of Randy and Judy Belt, he has been actively involved in raising Brangus cattle most all of his life.  The Belt Family have been raising Brangus cattle for over 25 years.  He enjoys showing cattle and livestock judging.  Samuel also serves as a 4-H Ambassador for Coryell County, and participates in FFA and runs cross country for Gatesville ISD.

Fun Questions

  1. If you were to describe yourself as an animal, what would it be and why? I would be a horse, because I like to be active, but also lay around and relax
  2. If you could choose your last meal, what would it be? Steak and baked potato
  3. What was your favorite childhood toy? Farm animal toys
  4. What is/was your dream job? To be a rancher, or work on a big ranch
  5. What is your favorite season and why? My favorite season is summer, because it is not cold, and is not a stressful time of year
  6. What is your favorite quote? “Hard work beats talent, when talent doesn’t work hard.”
  7. What would be your spirit animal and why? My spirit animal would be a lion, because I think they are cool
  8. What is your biggest fear? Biggest fear is losing a loved one
  9. What is your strangest talent? Strongest talent is taking my socks off with no hands
