Lauren Burton comes all the way from the great state of Texas, and is returning as a second year IJBBA Director. She is the 17 year old daughter of Jim and Kay Burton and sister to her “Red Brangus Cattle Showin’ brother”, Tucker Burton. Lauren joined the IJBBA in 2016 and fell in love with the organization. She showed her first Red Brangus Heifer that same year. In her home town of Atlanta, Texas, she had been a member of the Cass County HOPE 4-H for nine years. During that time she served as Secretary, Treasure, and Vice President. Lauren has also been President of the Cass Sharp Shooters Archery Club. Lauren believes that being on the IJBBA Board will continue to take her leadership role to new heights. She plans to use her position to spread the word and recruit new members to join this awesome breed organization. Look her up as she travels another year for the IJBBA. She is eager to meet new friends and be at your service!

What Advice Do You Have For Young IJBBA Members?
"I would remind young exhibitors that we all started at the bottom. Never be afraid to ask for help and advice. In the end, we’re all on the same team and success is the name of the game! I would also encourage ALL young exhibitors to attend the Legacy Leadership Conferences. Wow!! What an amazing experience to travel to new places while exploring all aspects of the beef industry. I absolutely love it!!"
